Cold Beer Surf Club Podcast

April 22, 2024 | Surf, Travel

The Cold Beer Surf Club podcast was born out of a few conversations with 805 and trying to think of a fun project that I could work on for 2024 and beyond. In the last couple of years we made a Mind Surfing and Convergence both of which helped to tell my story and had a lot of surfing in them. We didn't want to make another "surf" film, but still wanted to celebrate surfing, surf culture, and connect that with other like minded people that love surfing. I also really wanted to connect with people on what surfing means to them in their lives and connect with other people who aren't professional surfers, but that have surfing as a big part of their lives. I was honestly not sure how I would do as the host of a podcast, but I knew if I could talk to people that I connected with about the things that I love I could probably do okay! Not surprisingly, it's actually beens super fun!

I've been fortunate to have some epic guests on the podcast so far. We kicked it off with Chris Shiflett who is one of the guitar players in the Foo Fighters. I've known Chris for a long time and it was epic to connect with him.  Second was Chris Malloy who I've looked up to forever! Chris has been super influential on my life growing up here and getting to know him. Third I had Sage Erickson who I've grown up with traveling and competing. Sage is an awesome person and was so well spoken. We are at similar places in our lives so it was really fun to connect on that. Fourth up is Parker! Parker and I's conversation was natural, fun, and easy. We loved to talk story and have so much to share. I hope you enjoy the conversation! Her is a YouTube link to the podcast, but you can also listen on anywhere you listen to your podcasts!
